On November 19th, we’re partnering up with CrossFit Undeniable for a charity partner workout called “Helen Meets Grace.” Even if you have no experience with CrossFit or aren’t really sure what to expect, you should sign up! We can scale the workout to any ability level, and we’ll have tons of giveaways, food, and beer after the event. If you want to know a bit more about the workouts, let’s talk about them one by one!
As of this moment, we have 11 days left in October. We’re just over $4,000 raised of our $10,000 fundraising goal for 2016. Most importantly, we have four events left where you can help us reach our goal starting with TONIGHT!
Tonight, we’re at Factotum Brewhouse in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Denver. We’re pairing up with Canvas and Cocktails for a fun painting night! The event starts at 6pm, and we’ll be painting this lovely masterpiece:
There are a few things to keep in mind. First, regardless of your artistic talent, you’re guaranteed to be better than Jeremey so throw out the argument that your painting will be the worst one there.
Second, we’re providing all of the painting supplies! You just need to show up.
Lastly, this is your chance to try out our limited edition beers on tap at Factotum! We have the pink saison and pink IPA on tap for a little bit longer. Don’t miss out!
We’ll also have Drink for Pink shirts on sale for those that want to paint in style. They’re extra soft and guaranteed to be the shirt you reach for every morning.
Tickets are still on sale for tonight. The total cost is $45.00 with a large chunk going directly to local breast cancer research in the state of Colorado. We can’t wait to see you there!
If you can’t make it, check out our Facebook page to find out about our future events!
Remember back in August when we wrote about brewing beer at Factotum Brewhouse here in Denver or when we talked about the delicious Pink Peppercorn Kolsch that was going to be on tap at Left Hand Brewing up in Longmont?
We’re proud to say we have three beers on tap for you to enjoy throughout the month of October!
Our kickoff event at Rails End Beer Company is tonight, and we couldn’t be more excited to get this October rolling. We have several awesome events throughout the month and into the rest of 2016. Trust me, they’re going to be awesome!
Last year, during our kickoff event at Ratio hosted by the amazing Basics Team, someone asked us what our fundraising goal was for Drink for Pink in 2015. It was our first official year in business, and we each had a slightly different goal in mind. I shouted $10,000. Matt upped it to $25,000. Others mentioned slightly lower or higher. We ended up just shy of $5,000 for the year. Not bad for our first year!
This year, we’re all on the same page. We have a firm target in mind that we want to hit throughout the rest of the year.
Drink for Pink has always been about a local Colorado connection, and we’re fortunate to have so many amazing breweries in the state to partner with and learn from. One of those breweries, Factotum Brewhouse, has been with Drink for Pink from the very start. They hosted one of our first events in October of 2015. We were eager to come back for round two.
This year, we wanted to do something a bit different than the traditional one-night event model. Factotum Brewhouse is a unique in that they welcome guest brewers in to brew beer that will eventually end up on tap. In fact, they’re focus is on the guest brewer, educating them and helping them to hone their craft:
It’s about providing them a stage so they may display their craft, refine their talents, and receive unbiased public feedback.
To help showcase the uniqueness of Factotum Brewhouse, they invited us in to brew our own beers that would be on tap for the month of October. We were beyond excited to take part in the brewing process, and with their expert guidance, I think we created two beers you’ll really enjoy! Here’s a snapshot of how those beers were created.
